Welcome to my website. I’m Natasha Evans (BHSc) and I’m passionate about great health, delicious food and helping people to live a long and fulfilled life!
I qualified as a Naturopath following completion of a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) degree at the Southern School of Natural Therapies, one of Australia’s leading Natural Medicine institutions. I am also a qualified natural fertility educator.
I love to be constantly learning and my approach changes as I incorporate new research into my treatment plans.
Naturopathy is a holistic approach to wellness based on the principle that the body has the inherent ability to heal itself. Using the healing power of nature and gentle therapeutic techniques, the body, mind and emotions are supported during the healing process. Naturopathic principles are based on treating each person as an individual and treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.
Naturopathy can be used in addition to other treatments from GPs, specialists and mental health practitioners to enhance results and improve the quality of life for the patient.
An initial consultation is 90 minutes long, during which we will work through several activities;
- A full exploration of the presenting complaint, identifying what is most important for the patient
- Explanation in “layman’s terms” of any health issues to enable the patient to understand why the body has an altered function and what can be done to reduce or resolve the issues
- Your ability to succeed is of the utmost importance to me, which is why I work with you to ensure your treatment plan is achievable
A return consultation lasts for 45 minutes, and your progress and any changes in how you feel will be evaluated. Your treatment plan will be adjusted as necessary.
I usually conduct consultations in person, but can alternately conduct them by phone, or online using Zoom, should you prefer – read more about those option below!
Consultation fees (excluding medicines) are;
Online- & Phone-based Consultations
In addition to face-face consultations, I can also conduct appointments remotely, via phone or online using Zoom. An online or phone consultation still allows me to connect with your journey and gather the detailed information I need to formulate a holistic treatment plan for you.
I will send you an SMS reminder the day prior to our consultations. In the case of Zoom-based meetings, I will also send a meeting invitation to your email address. You don’t need to install any software on your computer or phone – just click the link in the Zoom meeting invitation that I send to you!
Contactless pickup of medicines from my clinic is available, or can be posted or couriered if required.
Naturopathy can be utilised to help manage or resolve a very broad range of conditions such as colds and flus, skin problems, cancer, allergic conditions (eczema, hay fever, food intolerances, chronic sinus), poor immunity and general well-being, metabolic disorders like thyroid issues, diabetes, heart/cardiovascular disease (high or low blood pressure, poor circulation, high cholesterol), fatigue, muscle aches and pains and many more. Naturopathy can also support patients undergoing GP and specialist treatments.
However, there are some area of health and wellness that are particular passions of mine:
Gut & Digestion
I use a number of different methods and tools to assess your current state of health, and to better understand your presenting condition. Those methods, or modalities, are also used to support the resolution of any conditions you may have, or to bolster your wellness.
Modalities I use include:
- Functional pathology testing
- Herbal medicine
- Diet and nutritional assessment
- Iridology and tongue and nail signs
- Flower essences
- Topical creams
